Certification in Medical Assisting

The demand for medical assistants has been on the rise year after year, and it has been one of the most rapidly growing professions from 2006 to present. A medical assistant has a developed understanding of the human body, symptoms and signs of disease, metabolism, hematology, clinical procedures, pharmacology, and human reproduction. Moreover, medical assistants are trained in procedures regularly performed at a physician’s office, clinic, or hospital. Furthermore, medical assistants are also versed in the business aspects of a medical facility, making them a well-rounded and essential member of the team.

The Capital College Medical Assistant Certification trains students to allow them to pursue fulfilling positions as a medical assistant. This qualification will allow the recipient to work in administrative and supervisor positions because of their overarching understanding of allied healthcare. With this 9-month program, students will learn how to assist medical professionals and carry out administrative duties with on-the-job training.
