Medical diagnoses, particularly in the field of cancer, depend upon properly prepared and interpreted histology specimens. Without a good histotechnologist, the samples would be poorly prepared and the pathologists would have a harder time coming to a diagnosis. As a result, it is absolutely crucial that histotechnologists receive superb training with lots of practice.
